Product Description
The Magnetic Roller Separator is designed for removing ferrous metal contamination from conveyed materials in belt conveyor and material handling systems. It is commonly installed at the discharge end of flat or troughed belt conveyors, where it acts as a magnetic head roller to capture tramp iron from materials passing over the conveyor.
Magnetic roller separators are especially useful when conveyed product depth makes it difficult for a standard magnetic plate or overband magnet to remove deeper ferrous contaminants. As the material passes over the magnetic roller, ferrous particles are attracted and retained by the magnetic field, while non-magnetic materials continue to discharge normally.
For maximum protection against tramp metal, magnetic roller separators may be used together with magnetic plates, overband magnets, magnetic panels, or other magnetic separation systems. They are suitable for a wide range of conveyable materials, including wood chips, biomass, recyclables, aggregates, coal, dry bulk solids, and other granular or free-flowing materials.
Magnetop can supply different magnetic roller configurations, including semi-magnetic rollers, full magnetic drums, and strong magnetic rollers without shell, depending on the required magnetic strength, separation method, material type, and installation environment.
